Joel Dommett Live

Joel Dommett, the English comedian / actor, has been active since 2007 and started his career at a bar in Los Angeles. He performed a stand-up gig at the bar in Los Angeles and then went on to perform in The Netherlands.

His career started to pick up in 2008 when he won the Best Newcomer Award. He also was a finalist on Stand Up Comedian during the same year. Dommett’s acting career also started to blossom at this time, with his appearance in The Edge of Love.

Dommett’s television and movie career started to outpace his comedic career. He landed a recurring role on Skins in 2010 and then appeared on Popatron for six episodes. Live in Chelsea was Joel’s live discussion show which revolved around Made in Chelsea, a reality show.

He returned to acting with his appearance on Impractical Jokers UK, which he appeared on in 2012 through 2014.

He is now a regular on Reality Bites and Bring the Noise.

Dommett, now known for his acting career, is considered an all-round funny man. His show features the door opening followed by a two-hour stint before Dommett takes the stage. The show requires all attendees to be 14+, with parental guidance a requirement for younger viewers.

Considered the United Kingdom’s “most energetic comedian,” Dommett’s solo show is said to be “high octane.”

The 31-year old is a member of the National Youth Theatre and has been a panelist on Bring the Noise. He has kept himself active in the last year, recently heading to Korea to film Are You Fit Enough?. Joel’s comedic career has been ongoing since his first stand-up gig in Los Angeles.

His humble roots in comedy have sent him across the world, with shows in the United States, Reykjavik and several other countries.

Joel Dommett Live is a 36-venue tour that will start on 5 October and will last through 15 November.

Dommett states that his performances have always been “quite big,” so he doesn’t feel like his transition to bigger stages will have an impact on his performance. He has stated that his time on television has positioned him to where he has to deliver more to his fans on the show to make sure that they come back.

Dommett believes his roles on reality television may come to a point where the bubble bursts, so the tour may be his natural transition into bigger comedy venues.
